The Book

IDEALOSCENT-" Transcending The Creative Boundaries" is a book that aims to explain the methods of art pedagogy apprenticeship while keeping words at a mini‐mum. By using graphs, charts, and pictures, the book displays the perception of teenage ideology in various stages. Readers can see how a student unravels their artistic mind over several years, and the development of individual style can be found in the latest artworks of these students.

The result of this book is followed by introductory chapters to our “idealoscent” teaching languages, the process of pre-screening students with their first assess‐ment exercises.

From basic drawings, folding papers, creating sculptural forms, and leading toward design principles, we teach them to create design through vision of art which does not apply to commercialized goals, much more personal expressions instead be‐cause we believe the first step to achieve a creative success is how to express yourself through the work of art and design.

IDEALOSCENT -「超越創意的界限」是一本旨在用最少的文字去分析藝術教育學徒制度的書籍。本書透過圖表和照片,展示了青少年意識形態在不同階段的感知。讀者可以看到學生在幾年內如何拆解他們的藝術思維,並在這些學生最新的藝術作品中找到個人風格的發展。

本書用不同的章節介紹了我們「idealoscent」的教學語言,以及學生首次評估練習的過程。

從基本的繪圖、摺紙、創造雕塑形式,再到引導他們走向設計原則,我們教導他們通過藝術視野創造設計,這不適用於商業化目標,而更多地體現個人的表達,因為我們認為取得創意成功的第一步是如何通過藝術和設計作品來表達自己。

Purpose

This book is not just about drawing and painting, though they’re the fundamental gates toward art and design. The whole book is an experience of “Idealoscent”, with 100+ art & design showcases created by our teenage students. See Preview Images below:

Many years ago, we started leading students submerging into the world of design in their early teenage stage. We think ideas don't reflect only on canvas or illustra‐tion boards. Instead of focusing 100% time drawing and painting, we let our stu‐dents “build” by their own hands. They build prototypes from a design idea, such as architecture, interior, products, graphics, fashion.

Each design has its fundamental environment, which we teach them.

許多年前,我們開始引導學生在他們的早期青少年階段沉浸在設計的世界中。我們認為想法不應該僅體現在畫布或插圖板上。我們讓學生不再將全部時間都花在繪畫的技巧上,而是讓他們透過自己的雙手去「建造」。他們根據設計概念建立模型,例如建築、室內設計、產品、圖形、時裝等。

每種設計都有其基本環境,而我們會教導他們這方面的知識。
